It's Fall Ya'll...What's going on around here?

First of all Happy Fall Y'all!! Whoa what a crazy week last week was. As you know I live in Florida and hurricane Ian threaten practically the whole state. Thankfully down in South Florida we were spared the stronger winds and flooding. But my heart goes out to the West Coast of Florida. There is severe devastation there. Fort Myers/Sanibel were hit the hardest 😔. We have vacationed every summer for the last 3 years in Sanibel. That beach vacation is our time to sit down and just relax. As much as we love the parks going on a beach vacation we slow down and just have lazy days at the beach. We stay at Sanibel Arms west in a beach front property and it's going to take a while to rebuild... Here are some memories from this past summer.

On another note last week Disney announced another big update to their cruises...As of Oct. 14th you will not need to be vaccinated to cruise! 🤗 So what did Jillian do?!?! Of course booked a cruise!! 🛳️ This will be our first cruise back since 2016 and Elizabeth's 1st cruise ever! We have been on 2 Disney cruises. The 1st one was for our honeymoon back in March 2006 on the Disney Magic and our 2nd cruise was for our 10 year anniversary March 2016 on the Disney Dream. This cruise is a special one as well. We will be celebrating Yenier's 40th birthday on this cruise! We did 40th birthdays big this year. We went to Aulani for mine and for his we
are taking a 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Disney Fantasy. But best part is....it's a Merry Time cruise!!! Christmas is my favorite holiday and Christmas at Disney is my absolute fav!! I can't wait and my girls have been asking to go on a cruise. I surprised them with boarding passes that they opened to reveal that we are going on a Disney Cruise. They are also so excited because we are going with some other Smart Moms and Smart Kids (when you hear me refer to the Smart Kids those are the children of my group of friends who are also Smart Moms agents.). So we are leaving in less then 40 days and there is so much to plan!! I'm on the hunt for Fish Extender gifts, t-shirt designs, stateroom door magnets, outfits for formal night, and all the fun things for a cruise! What are some things you would recommend?
Here is the boarding ticket I gave the girls and our last cruise pic. Victoria and Isabella were 4 and 2.

On the TA side this week was also very busy. With Hurricane Ian there were a lot of clients who needed to move their vacations. Luckily they had me and I took care of calling Disney and getting everything squared away. That's why you get a TA. We are here to help with all the behind the scenes stuff. I will tell you there were a few days that hold times were over 4 hours 😱. I will say that Disney did an amazing job during all of this. For those guests that were already at Disney World when the parks shut down for those 2 days, Disney provided activities and characters at their resort to keep everyone engaged. The arcades were also open for free (my kids would have been there all day 😜). I had a team member from Team Fairy Godmothers there at Art of Animation and she said Disney was doing an amazing job. They had boxes of food that they were preparing for everyone, grab and go type because they were asked to shelter in place one of the nights. They were going around giving out flash lights in case power went out. Overall, Disney did a superb job not with just the travelers there but those that were set to come in during the Hurricane. They waived any cancellation fees or modification fees for anyone who needed it until this Friday Oct. 7th. Great job Disney! 👍

Here are some pics from the days during the Hurricane and everything that Disney did you keep the kids and adults alike entertained and calm.
Well that was my week! Girls are back in school after being out almost all of last week and I can go back to normal schedule. Let's see what this week brings us! I leave you with a quote from Maya Angelo:
“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.” Have a great week everyone! All the Pixie Dust, Jillian
